This planning and tracking works. Still a way to go before i lose Decembers gain of 16 lbs but hopefully lose a good chunk of it before February is here. I tried to plan meals and used esource on the WW plan and also posted what i was eating over on twitter (user name @Fat4Now) under the guise of #TweetWhatYouEat.
Its good because if you click the #TweetWhatYouEat on Twitter you get to see all the posts by everyone who is doing similar and its very insightful to see how other people use their points. Also its a handy way to update via twitter as not always by a PC or dont always have a pen and paper.
Because of the gain and in general height, sex and weight i was allowed 56 Daily ProPoints. I also got 49 Weekly ones to use anytime on anything. Because i was angry and upset with last weeks gain i decided weekly points had to be treat meaner and that i wouldnt eat them.
Kind of defeats the object to drink them all but then i thought maybe i could. I drink roughly a pint of milk a day (with tea, with porridge or cereal or even alone) so why not use them on that.
1 pint per day for 7 days worked out as 5 pps per day but when i put it together on Esource it worked out as 37 pps. No worries as i was allowing 12 pps for 2 pints of lager per week to go with them. .
So my weeklies are taken care of. I can have a couple of beers at the weekend but more importantly because im using the rest on Milk i am not going to be having a 100 + ProPoint blowout and feel bloated.
I know WeightWatchers is about using the plan and the points and i will ease up on the weeklies next month but only once i have shifted the Christmas Gain.
By doing this i did find i was struggling to eat all my points though as if i was having OatSoSimple for breakfast and because the milk was covered i was getting to lunch time and having 50 pps left.
I tried to increase breakfast intake rather than just stuff full of snacks late on.
Long term this isnt a worry because as weight comes down so will the daily ProPoints allowance.
As well as tracking i went back to the gym on Tuesday (and then again yesterday and today).
Nothing too olympic. Just a 35 min basic cardio workout split between treadmill, stepper and rower.
Didnt feel too ill and hopefully i should be able to manage that 4 times a week. Because the gym is at work i dont have any excuse for not going.
Right so where we at now. I have lost 5.5 lbs of the 16 lbs Christmas and New Year gain (period of 5 weeks from 1st Dec - 5th Jan) . That takes total loss down to 23.5 lbs so still 76.5 lbs to go until i have lost 100 lbs and then that , dear reader is when.....
a) I eat Crisps or Peanuts - Cant moderate them so have to do without
b) Date - Need to feel good about myself before i can about someone else
c) Holiday - i got to near the 50 lb loss mark in June but Summer in Spain destroyed that.
On top of that there is a longer way to go until goal but i had to have respite and i figure if i can lose 100 lbs i deserve to live a little. Had the comments about the dating but as well as needing to be where i want to be and feeling good about myself Diet also is hard when dating. Pizzas in , Meals out. Popcorn at the pics etc.
I just feel like i have now been yoyo-ing for too long and if i dont put WeightWatchers first in 2012 then i could still be here in 3 or 5 years time doing the same. I need to this for the last time .... Now !!!!
I am tracking and following the plan and ultimately being the one that isnt putting junk in my mouth
but the support has been outstanding, despite the length of time where i must really sound like a broken record. Friends , Family, My WW meeting leader Gemma. Cayla and all the girls from her group The 5+ guys on WW. Everyone has been amazing. Not once has someone said. What again. Try and last longer, etc.
I have to do this. The people who have put their faith in me and supported me but most importantly i have to do this for myself. Im back flying at the moment but i know its going to get tough and their will be times in 2012 where i hit the wall or gain or fall out of love with it all but dont give up on me because im not going to and i promise no matter what else i do i will follow this plan in 2012.
There will be days where i have 5 pints or a bag of lemon bonbons or a couple of drifters but i will track them. If i have 90 points instead of 56 i will point them. I will be honest as not being would only be cheating myself..
5th January 2011 - 303 lbs (21 stone 09)
5th January 2012 - 285 lbs (20 stone 05)
5th January 2013 - ???????????????????
Who knows what i will be this time next year but tonights 5.5 lbs off took me to 19 stone 13.5 lbs.
That is under 20 stone and i promise i will never go above it again. Now bring on those 18s.
Finally, Speaking of Gemma, She gave me some ribbon tonight in class. Clever idea to tie it around yourself and see change as you lose weight. I had got the tape measure out and recorded stats on left hand side of blog but handy to keep ribbon to see if i shrink. Dunno what the lads will say though if someone sees pink ribbon sticking out of my pockets haha
